I left school at 16 with no plans other than to leave academia to work and travel. My travels took me to Australia where I found myself selling encyclopaedias door to door ! Whilst not the most salubrious of roles, it really taught me the importance of grit and resilience and a lot about myself. When promoted I learned the complexity of leading people, really understanding their “why”, what drives them into change and how every person needs a different version of you as a leader.
Over my 27 years at Robert Half I launched and scaled businesses, led and grew teams both nationally and globally; I crafted my own style of leadership; hired, coached and developed many top performing global leaders, and understood how important culture is to nurturing high performance teams.
In 2023 I set up Ascent with the purpose to provide bespoke and tailored, impactful leadership development programmes to accelerate self learning and support businesses looking to invest in their people through an external voice to achieve their business goals and growth.
Outside of work I will normally be found outside! My passions are cross country running, skiing, eventing my horse, delicious food and wine and of course my husband and 3 children!
